XHTML 1.1 - Served as application/xhtml+xml
I have seen some great looking web sites. But under the hoods to many of them, you’ll find tag soup. Some do not even declare a DOCTYPE, and when they do, they do not bother to validate their code.

In other words, those sites reek.
and they asked..do we really need a doctype? so far..no complaint..
You got that right Dani! That and, “Why validate anyway? As long as Google can see my page, I don’t care about validations!”
What can you do?

fyi, my friend’s site is the winner of busby seo challenge, their site is fully compliant with xhtml, css and accessibility
since I’m not a web developer/designer, I’ll try to promote w3c’s web standard, accessbility/usability..and say to people “try these rules..”
