Web Blog About Design

Stylish BlogI am on a mission to find that perfect web design blog that will cover the newest tips & tricks, updates on the latest news in our industry, and such. And since I like the sound of my own voice (so to speak), I will generally comment on those blogs on the post I find I can contribute back to the web designer community, and not just take in the wealth of knowledge they offer.

I have found a great web site that keeps an updated design blog I have been reading lately. The company that runs if also offers custom web design services, which I will definitely keep in mind if or when I ever have to outsource a design contract. Their examples and portfolio is pretty good. But again with their blog. I understand that we all blog about our successes and failures, but what about other industry news that we ourselves have not generated? The sign of a good blog is one that has authors that post on other topics of the same categories, and not just what they themselves have been doing.

Well, Stylish Blog (their title tag’s text is: Blogging about web design, money and life) has made it into my bookmarks - even my del.icio.us ones. You see, the most interesting (and to me, relevant) thing about their blog, site, and services is a simple thing: they design for the real world, and not semantically coding valid markup without regard for a client’s needs or the like. Using web standards as it sits in the real world. And that in itself makes them “real” to me.
