Thoughts on Forums

Social Networks are HOT for SEO right now. You can generate relevant traffic and backlinks from the profiles and bookmarks you create on them. Well, so many people forget that blogging, and specifically blogging communities were the first social networks to have a great SEO impact.

I was at the forum of Thoughts.com, and was reading some cool threads - which made me want to post this. You see, on Thoughts.com, you can create your own free Blog or personal journal, you can store your own photos and videos, your podcasts, and even join in in the community forum that Thoughts.com offers.

What’s great about their blog service is that you can decide if your post will be available to the public or have it strictly seen and accessed by those you select, such as friends or family members. Think of that…you can run your own blog and select who can read your posts. So if you offer eBooks in your marketing, you can post it online on your thoughts.com blog, and charge users to access it. Once they pay, you can then give them access to that specific post.

What I like is the fact that unlike many of the free services out there, they offer free unlimited bandwidth.
